Pick your dates, choose your price, and if nobody outbids you, you get me at a discounted rate.

If my calendar says I’m free, you’re good to go. You can even select just a single day.
You can secure my services by paying my full day rate, or bid on my time at a lower price.
If you book me, sit back and relax. If you bid on me, you’ll secure me if you’re not outbid.
There’s a bunch of tasks I’m well placed to help you with. Put me to work with any of them.
Most design work involves building on what’s already there, and I can help you add to your existing systems.
Every product has to start somewhere, and I can put together the framework to get yours off the ground.
For when your ‘solid start’ is ready for some design love, or your once majestic product is starting to show its age.
The itch scratcher. For when you want to try something out, test a theory, or get everyone on the same page.
I don’t just draw rectangles; I write HTML, CSS, and SCSS too. Stick me in VS Code and I’ll be quite happy.
Sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to spot how you can streamline a part of your product or process.
You're bound to have questions, and I've tried to answer a bunch of them.
Just like before, you can still book me by paying my £600 + VAT day rate. The difference now is that you can also bid on my time at a lower rate. If someone is willing to pay a higher price, they take your spot, but if it gets to 2pm on the Friday before and you're still the highest bidder, you get to work with me at the lower day rate.
Previously, my fixed pricing meant that I was either earning my full day rate or nothing at all. With my first child due in May 2023, I'm keen to fill as much of time as possible with billable work between now and then.
As well as increasing my earning potential, it allows me to help a selection of clients who would otherwise have been priced out of working with me.
If nobody has bid on or booked me for a specific date, you'll be able to bid on it for as little as £375 + VAT. If a date shows a higher price (e.g. £450, £525, or £600), that means that somebody has already made a bid for my time on that day. If a date is blank and disabled, that means I'm either booked or not working that day.
My name's Chris Annetts, and I'm a product designer from the UK. There's not too much about me on this site, but you can get to know me a lot better at chrisannetts.com.
At my £600 + VAT day rate, you can secure my time for up to 3 months.
If you'd like to work with me at a lower rate, you'll only be able to secure me for 5 consecutive days at a time. If you want me for longer, but don't want to pay my day rate, you'll need to make sure you're the highest bidder for each of your chosen weeks.
Unless the new bidder pays my day rate in full to secure my services (and you can choose to do this yourself at any point too), you'll have the opportunity to make a new, higher bid to win back the date or dates in question.
If somebody out bids you, I'll be in touch promptly to make you aware and to give you the chance to place a new bid yourself.
To book me at my standard day rate, I'll need a deposit of 25% of the total cost. The deposit is non-refundable, which protects my time and covers the cost of finding new work if you change your mind.
If you'd like to work with me at a lower day rate, no deposit is needed until one working day before the project starts, when you'll be asked to pay for the booking in full.
Auctions close at 2pm on a Friday, which gives winning bidders a few working hours before the weekend to pay for next weeks design work. I can't start any work until I've received payment, so please make sure any invoices are paid promptly and ahead of the scheduled start date.
I work 7½ hour days. I'm based in the UK, so work between 9am and 5.30pm (GMT) unless agreed ahead of time.
No, I'll only agree to work on projects that align with the services I offer and with clients that I'm happy to work with. If I have any questions, I'll ask them as soon as I can, and if I think we're a good fit for one another, I'll update my booking calendar.
I've mentioned the six headline services I can help with. Some of things I don't offer include working on site (I've worked remotely for 8 years and counting), running workshops (there are people much better placed than me to help with that), or manage your agency clients for you (I'm already managing our relationship). If you're in any doubt, run your project past me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I'll be happy to clarify.
